Practice - Creating an Encryption Policy
This example creates an encryption policy that requests a receipt.
To create an encryption policy
- On the Status
tab, select a cluster.
- Select Manage Policies > Encryption.
- Enter "NextBigThing" in the Label field.
- Select the arrow next to the From field and enter "*@marketing.zixcustomer.com”, then click Add Pattern. This indicates that messages sent from the marketing department at zixcustomer.com will use this policy.
- Select the arrow next to the To field and select Enable All Patterns to indicate that the policy applies to any person at any company.
- Create
a Glossary entry for the policy.
- Select

dialog displays.
- Click
to display the Define a New Glossary
Entry area.
- Enter “webcast”
in the Entry Label field.
- Select Expression
in the Add a Term row.
- Enter “webcast”
in the Expression field.
- Click Add.
- Click Add
to Glossary.
- Click
.
- Select Subject in the “webcast” row in the top portion
of the dialog.
- Click OK.
The Glossary and Bindings
dialog closes.
- Enter one or more attachment File Types, or extensions, for which you want this policy to apply.
- Select Send
(or Encrypt & Send, Send Unecrypted, ZixDirect Reply & Forward) in the Send Options row.
- In the Delivery Method field, select the desired methods.
- Select Yes
in the Request Receipt drop-down list.
- Click Apply.
